AAAS Faculty Winners of Hauser Grants for 2012-2013

AAAS faculty members are among the recipients of the competitive Hauser Innovation Grant awarded by the Harvard Initiative for Learning and Teaching (HILT).

Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham and John Mugane will be funded for “Portraits in Multimedia: A Social Engagement Project in African and African American Studies.”  The project, “Enhancing Learning through a Hands-on Exploration in a Dynamic Cross-Disciplinary Geospatial Web Platform, “which is led by Suzanne Blier, along with Ingrid Monson, Jacob Olupona, and Bob Bates, will be funded to further develop “WorldMap’s functionalities to add discussion features and enhance learning.  HILT, a university-wide presidential initiative aims to catalyze innovation in higher learning and expand Harvard’s leadership in the research, application, and assessment of innovative pedagogy in Cambridge and around the world.
